Foothills Aviation is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northeast Georgia, at Toccoa-Stephens County Airport (KTOC), in the historic R.G. LeTourneau hangar off runway 9–27.
The field
R.G. LeTourneau hangar
The airport — also known as R.G. LeTourneau Field — sits two nautical miles northeast of downtown Toccoa. LeTourneau built runways here in the late 1930s; the field was later given to the city and county and named for him. Foothills occupies the historic hangar on 9–27.
It is a short cross-country from many airports in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Chart data on this site is not for navigation. Use current approved aeronautical information for flight planning.

DAR
In conjunction with Ace Aircraft, Foothills Aviation provides airworthiness certifications for amateur-built and light-sport aircraft. DAR Bill Wood is an FAA mechanic with Inspection Authorization and an FAA Repairman, and a homebuilder himself. Since 2004 he has inspected and issued airworthiness certifications to amateur-built and light-sport aircraft.
On the field
Fuel is the airport’s
Self-serve 100LL and Jet-A on the field, 24 hours.
The airport fuel farm sits on the north end of the ramp off runway 3–21. Credit cards at the pump. Observe grounding and posted procedures. Fuel is an airport service, not the shop’s core work.
The shop’s work is avionics, installations, certifications, and airworthiness — not a fuel-brand pitch.
